TRICARE CONCERT 31ST OCTOBER 2021

On Sunday 31st October 2021 The Gap Serenata Singers held their second away concert for the year at Compton Gardens Retirement Community in Aspley. Photos of the event are attached.

The choir consisted of seven sopranos, seven altos, two tenors, one bass.  The number of residents was about 30.

The choir sang three brackets and a final song.  As well, there were three soloists and a piano duet. The soloists were Denis Joyce who sang “Without a Song”, Ray Wiseman sang “Ol’ Man River” and Desleigh Byrne with “You Made Me Love You”. The duet, “In a Persian Market”, performed by Lois Cutmore and Alison Siemon, was brilliant and the highlight of the afternoon.

The concert was enthusiastically received by the residents who joined in with the community sing-along and also with the soloists.
