2024 LOOKING GOOD

This year we have welcomed twelve new members and our numbers are again looking healthy post the Covid slump that everyone felt. But it might just be that we all want to get out and sing!! Along with our new members, our musical direction team of Guillaume and Alison have presented us with a brand new repertoire. We again have introduced a musical medley with “Mamma Mia!” (ABBA music) and an old favourite “Over the Rainbow”. Some other toe-tappers are “I Still Call Australia Home” and Paul Jarman’s “Eye of the Needle”. We still love some of the classics like “Londonderry Air”, “The Lord is My Shepherd”, and a piece from “La Traviata” by Verdi.

As with last year, where we ventured into Latin, Zulu and Maori, this year we are presenting a French language piece by Faure called “Cantique de Jean Racine”. All promise to be entertaining and keeping our choir vibrant and interesting.
